Congratulations to William & Mary senior guard Marcus Thornton for breaking the oldest Division 1 scoring in the country in a 65-50 rout over Towson. The sharp shooting guard surpassed Chet Giermak’s record (2,052) that stood since 1950.. He has tallied 2,062 pts, which ranks 11th in CAA history and is sixth among active Division I players. Good luck to him and his team as the look to make history tonight for their first NCAA berth if they beat Northeastern!
