ODU star quarterback Taylor Heinke led the Monarchs to a 41-28 victory over the Hampton Pirates in a sold out Forman Field in Norfolk, VA. The cross town rivals gave the fans plenty of excitement with the game tied 7-7 in the first quarter. With a few miscues by the Pirates , the stout ODU defense cashed in and led 21-7 at the half and never looked back. The Monarchs will now travel to Raleigh, NC to face ACC foe North Carolina St. Wolfpack at Carter Finley Stadium.
