Latrece Hopkins’, daughter of famed boxer, Bernard Hopkins, celebrates her Sweet 16 with a super bash featuring a surprise performance by hip-hop superstar, Ludacris. The young beauty was feted by several of her closest friends and family members at a NYC-themed party held at the Chase Center Riverfront in Wilmington, DE. With her three outfit changes, the guest-of-honor dazzled the dance floor, as she received video shout-outs from Snoop Dogg and actor Bryshere ‘Yazz’ Gray of Fox’s primetime hit, Empire.
As guests entered the grand ballroom gorgeously decorated like a A-list celebrity night spot, they were welcomed by the Statue of Liberty, a Rockette, and and a game of Three Card Monty by a curbside card shark. In addition to an electrifying performance by a hip-hop dance troupe, guests were also treated to a complimentary mini beauty bar, custom airbrush t-shirts and a green screen photo booth.
Fun street signs for ‘Harlem’ and ‘Chinatown,’ and ‘Broadway’ directed guests to buffet tables featuring delicious soul food fare, Chinese cuisine and soft pretzels, and hot dogs, respectively. The exuberant night was capped off with the birthday girl being saluted with the Happy Birthday song before cutting into her 7-tiered cake designed by celebrity baker, Dana Herbert of Desserts by Dana that was simply over the top!!
