Here are a few shots from a recent bridal session with my lovely bride Hallie. Halley is a student at the University of Oklahoma who came down to Virginia to meet me for the first time. Her mother Jana contracted me last year to photograph her beauty daughter’s wedding at Sandbridge this June. During our meeting, I decided to grab one of Maya’s stunning gowns from Tiffany’s by Maya. Char assisted with her lovely floral bouquet and it was on from there. In just 45 minutes, we created some stunning images. Jana and Halley, thanks for allowing me to be creative. The best is yet to come!

On March 16th, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Sarah and Rahim. You probably recall the awesome engagement photos posted on my blog a few weeks ago. The lovely couple exchanged vows at the luxurious Founders Inn and Spa. Having photographed Sarah’s brother John’s wedding last year, I had a great relationship with Sarah’s family and friends. John’s lovely wife Marci has been a true friend and refers me every chance she gets. Thanks Marci!! Sarah and Rahim are truly blessed to have such a great family. Almas, thanks for all of your hard work making Rahim and Sarah the happiest people in the world. It won’t be long before you’re next.. Sarah and Rahim, thank you for allowing me to capture the essence of your love. It was truly an honor and a privilege to be a part of your lives.

On March 15, I had the honor and privilege to photograph the wedding of DaVonna and Kendrick. Having photographed DaVonna’s bridal session as well as her engagement session, I really got to know this amazing couple. Their wedding took place at Fourth Baptist Church in Portsmouth, while their reception took place at the Hilton Garden Inn. Melissa from CMT, did an amazing job planning this festive event. She truly executed her timeline to perfection. Charlie from Portsmouth Floral did an amazing job with the flowers. Maya from Tiffanys by Maya had DaVonna looking simply stunning!! Jennifer Westnedge and her staff at the Hilton did a superb job ensuring all of the guests needs were met. DaVonna and Kendrick, thanks for allowing me the opportunity to capture the essence of your special day. I truly enjoyed working with you and look forward to a life, long friendship!!

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the engagement session of Monica and Steven. The lovely couple flew down from Atlanta to do a shoot on the backdrop of Sandbridge beach. Monica, a Chief Petty Officer of the US Navy, will be tying the knot with Steven on New Year’s eve this year. My colleague and friend Rolland will be capturing the essence of their special day. Trust me, there will be plenty of fireworks!!

Most of you brides know Sarah from coordinating spectacular weddings and events at the Founders Inn and Spa. But let the truth be known, Sarah’s true passion is singing! Don’t let the good looks fool you, she can really sing!! Sarah is available for weekend weddings and special events. She sings everything from opera to r&b.
